Faux Silk Fabric In Bronze

Our lovely faux silk fabrics have the drape and feel of natural silk but being manmade are more robust. Like real silk, they have a high lustre and a beautiful textured quality that gives them a richness much sought after for soft furnishings in both period and modern homes. This silk is woven to produce a tight, crisp fabric with a natural sheen and a prominent textured slub that is regular in appearance. Because they are manmade, faux silks will not vary as much in colour as pure silk and although the slub, or weave, is more accentuated, it is also more uniformly spread across the fabric.

Our collection of faux silks have been sourced for customers wanting the look and feel of pure silk but in a more durable fabric. We recommend that all silk curtains and blinds are lined and interlined to protect the face fabric from sunlight, but even then, fading may occur over time, especially around the edges and in darker colours.

We strongly recommend that you order a swatch before ordering any of our fabrics to help you decide if it is right for you.

Colour variations can occur between different batches of fabric and is to be expected with any natural fibre.  If you are using this fabric more than once in the same room, we recommend ordering the whole amount needed in one go to ensure that it comes from the same batch (this includes matching to any shades previously purchased from us). If this is not possible, please ask for a stock cutting from the current batch and check the fabric on receipt as, once cut to length, our fabrics are non-returnable unless faulty.
